The mine is developed to meet requirement of Gabbro core, Armour and crushed aggregate for local market. The top soil of 2 Mtrs concealing the Gabbro rock is stripped off with dozers to uncover the underlying Gabbro. Major part of the soil is dumped along the concession boundary and in valleys. The average height of the working faces is 12 Mtrs and the bench formation is from top down wards. Hydraulic drill 76mm diameter is used for drilling holes. Blasting is done with the help of conventional slurry explosives and the ANFO. Loading and transportation of Gabbro is by hydraulic excavator and Rock body tippers combination. The Gabbro rock will then be transported to feed to the 226 tph TRIO- WEIR make 3-stage stationary crushing and screening plant.
Kunooz Gabbro has a vast mining concession of 2.17 Sq Km at its Jiffnain operations. The overall mining resource is estimated at 130 million tons.
